Prolific Retail Offender Sentenced to Prison

​A prolific retail offender Michael ADIOH who stole almost £10,000 worth of goods from Boots, Clapham High Street and Mitcham Road has been sentenced to eight months in prison.

​In July 2025, the offender targeted Boots stores, stealing a total of £9,500 in high-value products. Our neighbourhood officers successfully linked all three offences, in partnership with Boots leading to a swift arrest and charge.

​This sentence sends a clear message that retail crime will not be tolerated. We understand the significant impact that this type of crime has on local businesses, their staff and the wider community. We are committed to working closely with retailers to identify and bring these offenders to justice.
